 About me...
I have lived in New Boston my whole life. I was born and raised here on a dairy farm with my parents and four older sisters. My mother was a teacher here at NBCS for over 15 years and all four of my sisters have chosen to teach at some point in their lives. Education was always an important part of our lives when we were little, and through our adult years. The love my mother had for children and teaching was one of the main reasons I chose to become a Teacher.
I began my professional teaching career right here at NBCS and have continued to teach here for twenty-five years, only taking time off for 5 years to spend with my own children during their infant years.      I have 3 beautiful, energetic children. All three of my children have attended New Boston Central School and received a fabulous education from my fellow co-workers. My oldest son, Elijah will be a senior at Clarkson University.  He is completing a 6 month Co-operative internship with NORSK Titanium in Plattsburgh New York and will begin his senior year in January.  He is absolutely loving his experience at NORSK.  He has always been person who loves to be challenged and always on a continuous path of learning.  When he heads back to Clarkson he is excited to try out for their ski team.  His focus of study continues to be chemical engineering, and has been honored to be recognized as a presidential scholar at Clarkson. He is so excited to continue his college journey.
My daughter Alexia, will be a Junior at SNHU, She will be continuing her educational journey here and loves their education program.  She is a double major in education and special ed. She is very excited with all they have to offer and is looking forward to her classes.  This summer she spent time working for a company which does subsidized housing and learned many new skills an office job can teach. She also spent time working for Crispins house here in Goffstown, babysitting, pet sitting and house-sitting.  This fall she will not only be going to school full time but also holding down these many jobs as well as working for a farm in Massachusetts on the weekends and fitting in some piano lessons as well.  She is a hard worker.  I am so excited for all of her journeys.
My youngest son will be a Junior at Goffstown High School. Caleb continues his battle with the after affects of a concussion.  However, he does not let this slow him down.  He is a part of the varsity Soccer, lacrosse and ski teams.  He loves playing all three sports and continues to grow his skills everyday.  Last winter Caleb represented the GHS down hill race team at Easterns.  He placed 50th out of  130 racers. Quite an accomplishment. Caleb also enjoys working at Mt. Sunapee as well, sharing his love for skiing and the snow. He also enjoys mountain biking, his trampoline and playing very hard. His passion for sports is immense and you can see it while he plays. This summer he found a new passion.  He worked at the Manchester Country Club working for their grounds department.  He was up at 4am every morning and out the door, ready for work at 5.  He loved being outside, working with his hands, and learning the many tricks of agronomy.  He continues to be full of energy and has a love for learning new things.
This past June we added a new puppy to our family.  HIs name is Tuckerman and he loves to cuddle, run, go for walks, keep us laughing and completes our family.
I love music, sports, nature, gardening, animals, hugging, humor, and children.
My goal in the readiness classroom is to bring independence, the love of reading and writing, the love of learning and a love of school, to all the children I encounter. I believe that if a child starts their first years of school loving every minute of their day, then they will continue to have success in their later years of schooling.
Thank you for sharing your children with me, I will enjoy watching them change and grow as they are developmentally ready.
Mission For The Class: Live, Love, LEARN, PLAY and laugh.....oh and don't forget to DANCE!
